Amaryllis, or Hippeastrum, is a South American-native bulb known for its large, trumpet-shaped flowers in red, pink and white. This plant is often given as a holiday gift. This bulb plant will arrive planted in a decorative pot leaving the top exposed, place in a warm spot with bright, indirect light. Water sparingly until growth appears, then water more frequently as the plant grows and rotate the pot regularly to ensure straight growth.
